I especially like the tenderness between the two of them as he takes care of her, but the vasectomy part makes me sad. Those two always deserved to have the big family that they wanted, especially after the alternate time line with the sentinel concentration camp stuff. Anyway, loved it except for that (which is personal and unrelated to your writing, after all I plan to write about their kids so why the heck am I complaining that you aren't when I like the story anyway?) This was definitely a lovely way to continue that scene! I have to curse those guys at /co/ on 4chan though, for talking about those panels where Scott's life is flashing before his eyes. Now it'll forever be stuck in my head that one of flashes was of Emma orgasming. Dammit.

I'm a big fan of Joss Whedon's "Astonishing," but I'm not gonna lie-- I was completely confused about the whole ordeal with imaginary baby Michael and Stuff and Perfection (who I still don't completely understand). In retrospect, the whole shipping them off to Breakworld probably is a bit perfunctory given the psychological trauma that Kitty must have endured. I think you capture her confusion and desires very well. It's not a pairing that's explored very often, but they are a classic.

I've always tinkered with the idea of doing a "Why did they really break up?" story because I'm older now, and I know the real reason behind the split (Jim Shooter). Poor Piotr. Poor Kitty. After all they've been through, you'd think they could find some pure happiness. If only Marvel would give them a chance. But then again, look at what happened to Jean and Scott.
