As a compliment to you, I can definitely see an improvement in your writing, both in descriptions, characterization and plot lines, from your earlier work to your later work. So this story was okay for me, but some of your later work is just outstanding, and the trend makes me believe you can only get better! :)

It was so dramatic, I could definitely picture this happening in a movie. But it was so cute, Murtagh was so adorable! I loved it! I swear if I read anymore I'm going to make you a shrine! Something to honor your blessed name!

dang, I never get how you can turn such cliched situations into a really good fic. It's the same with 'Hidden in Plain Sight'.

Anyways, I like your descriptions of the emotions of Eragon. Possibly you could include more speicific details on Murtagh's injuries, like exactly where it was, what shape etc. Sounds weird, but it's what you would normally do, take in the slightest detail, so I'm guessing that's what Eragon would be doing.

Though it's not as present as much in this fic, I've realised you describe more on what a person wears and I've found that not many people care what a character wears (at least I don't) so try avoiding it. What I like most about your descriptions is Murtagh's eyes. Very well done.
