I have been browsing through the Mai Hime archives here on ffn, and have come to the realization that your writing style is so fun, so enveloping, so easy to read, the emotions, the build ups, it is believable. a. she really does enjoy annoying people.
b. the above answer, and that she didn't want to see Natsuki hurt.
c. the first answer, and that she might sense Natsuki as the stronger over Shiho and is establishing her place in the scheme of things.
d. could care less about politics, but dislikes Shiho's goons.
e. all of the above.
f. none of the above.

Ah? I can't remember reading anything similar to this- well, the line about avoidance, but considering her actions during the Carnival it's almost a given, so that hardly counts.

Ah- Duran! It was good to see him, but also worrisome. They'd try to make her a HiME again, but for what? Do they think she'd- no, trying to develop it for themselves, but then why would they need an original? Unless it has to do with cell structure, but since she doesn't have that power anymore I don't see- *headdesk* I think too much.

There's something oddly captivating about a mad Shizuru; even being ruthless, she's amazing. But I'm glad she let the man live- waited to remove her weapon, even, so he wouldn't bleed to death. Now I regret reading this a bit, since I'll have to wait for an update, and that...gah. (patience) I realise you can't update them all quickly, but... ^^''

OMG! You must update this. If you don't, I will...be very sad. I was going to say "do something drastic," but you never know what might be taken too seriously in this day and end.

Anyway, normally I don't like AU fics, or fics that I think are unrealistic...but this is just SO believable! I love it. I hope you haven't given up and that you continue this saga as well. :)

i wouldn't want shizuru to turn into a murderer but...i almost wished she did kill tani...almost. XD

'no one would miss her'? is yoshiro crazy?! what's the point of having an MIP if that MIP wouldn't miss her when she suddenly vanishes into thin air?! i think that's yoshiro's biggest mistake...and he's gonna pay for it when he faces off with shizuru! natsuki...ganbare! don't let them control you! :)
