I just adore this story. I love your characterization of Mello because it is just dead on. And I admit I never even paid much attention to Halle before I read this, but I love what you've done with her character. I can't get enough of this. I hope you update soon.

Yay! Someone (not including non-yaoi or poorly writen fanfictions) finally considers the fact that Mello and Matt may not be best friends! This is (one of) the fanfiction(s) I've been waiting for!

Don't tell me you're not gonna update! 9's the BEST chapter so far, and I'm really REALLY impressed with this fic. Augh. C'mon... Don't be a jerk!

A stellar chapter!


I don´t think that there´s a single sentence or action I don´t like here. It just fit.


One of the main attractions-the constant change of dynamics. Very tight and fast paced. Simply cool.


But I also believe, that no other chapter has left me wanting answers as much as this one.

Especially the fact, that we never see what Mello is thinking, is keeping me on my toes-or glued to my monitor.


Why did she take his head in her hands?
Why this, why that? Why, why why?

It´s been so long since I´ve last read this story. And yet, it managed to pull me in even more than last time.

I´ll be honest though. Some of Mellos actions made me frown. Like him, trying to strangle Hal. Which actually isn´t quite as big of a stretch.

And what about him pulling her by the collar? Care to explain more closely.


Halle on the other hand really was spot on--surprising, considering how very little we have seen of her.


(now don´t think for a minute that your Mello is not in character-because he is-I guess it´s just, that I myself still have a hard time judging him)


Another thing I have to congratulate you for-your way of subtle writing. I very much enjoy how you let emotions take place, without explaining them.(without even the characters knowing the meaning)

Wow. This is one of the best stories I've read in ages. So well written and full of tension. Just like watching the show like it should have been if they made 100 episodes! I can't wait for you to continue it!

Ok, I don´t know if I´ve already reviewed this chapter (I´m re-reading everything) but even if I have, I will do it again.



This chapter was charged with emotion. What a chemistry! And the worst (best) was, that I couldn´t predict any of the happenings.

Which isn´t a bad thing at all. Halle and Mello were very much IC, and full of life-but still, so damn unpredictable.

Phew...first of all, you must know that I´m really glad for this update. Really g.l.a.d.!


Good Death Note stories are rare these days. Not to mention good DN stories combined with a good portion of Mello and Halle (I simply love to see these two interact).


Well, what I´m trying to say-neat chapter, as always. Enjoyed it even more than the previous one (Halle pushing Mello into the wall was simply cool), which is saying quiete a bit.


You make it easy to relate to Halle (another thing I´m thankfull for, her point of view). She´s a really interesting character to write about. Well-at least I´ve always felt more related to the secondary characters.


I like the way you make her interact. She´s not under Nears shadow here. A good thing, for we can see the wheels turning in her head, without Near getting on her nerves.


Another person I enjoyed here-Matt, of course. Very likeable. And very much IC I would say (from the little we know about him).

(though I´m not sure they would bicker around that much)



All in all a really good chapter-and I´m eager to read more-soon.

I love you for updating this! Not gonna lie, this is my favorite fiction on the entire website. Yup. I really enjoyed how you wrote Matt in this chapter, even if he was being horribly abused.
