I love how you portray Toph--I look forward to scenes with her in them. My favorite bit was her threatening to stand in the hall and scream. <3

I adore these stories!

a creepy! I don't even like horror anything and now I'm supposed to stop reading and go to bed?! AGH! Now I have to read another chapter, and it's almost 8 in the morning!

"“It’s just a ridiculous story,” Zuko interjected irritably, “meant to scare little kids into behaving themselves.”

“Yes,” Iroh chimed in with a knowing grin at his nephew, “and I recall it worked quite well on you.”

Zuko only rolled his eyes in exasperation and sighed, “Uncle, I was seven.”"

That right there is what I'm talking about! Makes me smile!

I for one love the little moments, like...Zuko sharing a teeny bit of his past or helping Toph with her seasickness. Momo trying to find Aang's tattoo under his hair, etc. They make the characters so much...more.

You know, this is a very good point. I bet Toph WOULD get seasick; not being able to see and ship's bucking and rolling, blegh. She was probably all seasick in the series while they were on the boat waiting for Aang to wake up.

Nice touch with the Zuko commiseration, it works well.

Poor Toph. I feel so sorry for her in this chapter. I quite like the way Tanha tried to get to Iroh as well. Sokka's reaction to the whole thing was priceless (and understandable)! Is the reason Tanha stopped trying to tempt Aang and Iroh because she got Zuko or did she just realise they weren't going to change their opinions?

I'd love to read a horror story by you! This is really chilling and I can really imagine those last lines being said before a commercial break. I personally feel that Toph and Zuko have the hardest times in this 'chapter' since Toph's lack of sight is made apparent by her situation before she is offered the choice.

Zuko's is just brilliant because ultimately I think it might be his greatest desire and Katara's thoughts about what his greatest desire was really reflects her own distrust of him.

I know I've been saying this in about every review for this 'chapter' but it couldn't be more brilliant!

I really like how Tanha is using Katara's doubts of Zuko to get what it wants from her. And Zuko having to face an unscarred version of himself... once again I'm reminded why I loved this 'chapter' the first time I read it.

Absolutely chilling! I love the build-up in this chapter. How each character gives away a bit more information about where they are. I especially feel sorry for Toph not being able to see what's happening, though that might also be a good thing.

I can't help but feel sorry for Zuko in this chapter. You've written Katara's feelings really well here- trusting him to an extent and yet, not treating him like one of the gang. Very well done. As always I'm glad you've kept Momo in the story, making the final scene quite scary.

Again I loved the character interactions in this chapter. I'm a bit confused as to Aang and Katara's relationship at this point, though I'm wondering if that's intended. Mainly concerning Aang's feelings about her. It's also nice to see Sokka having someone to talk to about Yue and Suki.

I couldn't help but review all the chapters in this story. The scene dealing Toph's seasickness feels very much like the actual show (especially in terms of being able to imagine it). And I do love the Top-Zuko interactions. There definately wasn't enough of it in the series.

This was an amazing 'episode!' I really like your writing style and it's wonderful how easy it is to picture these scenes being in the show. This one has possibly been one of my favourites so far just because of how chilling it was. I thought it made perfect sense that Zuko was the only one to give in since it's more in his character (I can't really give words as to why specifically though).

Crepy. That Zuko would succumb to Tanha's temptations was expected (indeed, he is a character of many deprivations and many wants), yet so disconcerting at the same time. I especially liked the part where you put in a comment about Katara's wanting to heal Zuko's scar, as a flashback to previous moments in your fanfics and in the aired series. It shows awareness of the progression in psychological development, and I always appreciate a psychological analysis of the characters through their responses to different situations. The past can change a person whether or not they dwell on it.

OK, so you said you were looking for particular reactions. I found a very telling one in this chapter: it was heartening to read about how Zuko protected Katara from the blast of the warning shot. It seems that he really has changed, and acknowledges the gAang as friends now! Although Zuko would never admit it. And in some ways he's still the same, because he's very compassionate about others. I smiled when I read this because small moments like this really reveal Zuko's character.
