really well-done piece- i especially liked lily's reaction to mary macdonald- not overly friendly, but very concerned and protective over the possibility of snape attacking her- and the suspicion there was a nice touch- the brief interaction w/ james, and the sense you get of this being a girl who holds a grudge- a real feel i got from her in the memories ch., that most stories have dismissed. the lily/james happiness is well-balanced by snape's loneliness- james whose change she accepted, and severus who she told he 'can't'- nice touch, that. great job!

Really captured the bittersweet relationship Snape has with Lily. I like it!
