You really have a lovely writing talent. The flow of the story was so smooth and went quite seamlessly from year to year. I love how they were going out but didn't realize it...well I suppose Kaoru probably did, but any ways. I also really enjoyed the concept of Kaoru being a painter. Very cool. When he gave her the original painting at the end, I couldn't stop grinning like an idiot :D

I know Kaoru loves Haruhi as well. Maybe just as much as HIkaru does, but I am more of a HaruhixHikaru fan. But yeah, I know they are twins and look so much alike. But I can't help but sob. T.T Argh.
