Very cute. Sticking Ichigo with the cat in that manner was a very Renji-ish thing to do.

For a name, I could see Ichigo calling the cat something cutesy or something totally benign just to irritate Renji. Perhaps when Renji returns Ichigo would even say something along the lines of "...well I couldn't think of a name so I let Orihime and Rukia name him". That would definately scare Renji for a bit.

If I were Ichigo, I'd name it Sally just to piss off Renji. XD
