 Ducky'sgirl4ever 2009-07-13 . chapter 1A great story. Very good. |
xenokattz 2009-01-06 . chapter 1Dear Lord, it's like you're a plethora of awesome Batfamily fics! I'm pretty new to the comics!fandom; I feel like I'm getting a total 360degree-3D understanding of all the characters through your fics.
You portray such an openly loving relationship between Jim and Babs, one that complements the more secretive (that's not the right word but it's the closest I can think of) affection at the Wayne Manor. Agian, thank you for writing and sharing your fics. |
too many stars to count 2008-12-21 . chapter 1Okay this was so frickin' adorable.
Jim Gordon may be my hero (seriously, I'm that lame)
I wish Barbara culd see what Bruce and Dick are like when they can really be something like family. Well, acutally I guess she does later on. Once she takes up a cowl of her own.
Sorry, I'm getting off target.
Really, this was awesome. :) |
tomorrow4eva 2008-10-28 . chapter 1Lovely. You capture the desperation and pain and relief and joy so well. |
E Kelly 2008-09-28 . chapter 1Brilliant. Just absolutely brilliant. You so need to write more. |
Housewoodblues 2008-09-19 . chapter 1I love it .Good relationship and it's cute.
""Could I call you 'Dad?'" she said." |
emberrox42 2008-07-24 . chapter 1I. LOVE. IT. Honestly, it's amazing! And I love how Barbra's not in a wheelchair too. Amazing, truly. |
gaudy night 2008-07-21 . chapter 1Aw, I'm all teary-eyed now! What a sweet, wonderful story. I liked the moment in the field where Barbara asked him if she could call him Dad. Gordon doesn't get enough stories written about him. Thank you very much. |
mb 2008-04-08 . chapter 1 Beautiful amazing story. I loved the Jim angle and how Barbara doesn't want to be like Bruce and Dick or Batman and Robin. Alfred's war history made sense and was well done also. The Dad mug was a great touch and so was Jim's 'not on your life' to Robin. I would've liked more Dick but the story was wonderful--indescribly amazing. Thanks for writing! |
boredanddelirious 2008-03-23 . chapter 1This is the second time I've read this story, and I have to say I loved it as much as I did the first time. So many little details that tie in with the comics, and it's very sweet and in-character for everyone. Great stuff! |
Neekie 2008-02-12 . chapter 1My favorite line: "Bruce stood there, Dick standing next to him, the two silhouetted against the horizon, and the ground beyond where they stood on the crest of the hill dropped away like the rooftops of Gotham."
I love this story. You make Jim so real that I hurt for him. Fabulously done. |
KalipsoRed 2007-09-19 . chapter 1That was very enjoyable! This is one of the few stories I've read, maybe the only one, that actually made Jim into his own person. Good job. |
Equinox 2007-09-04 . chapter 1I loved this. I loved everything about this. What a wonderful fic. I liked this part the best because it was interesting to see how Barbara viewed the Wayne family:
"I don't want to be like that," Barbara said after a little while.
"Like what?" said Jim.
"Like that," she said. "Like them."
I'm adding this to my favourites.

AKung 2007-08-31 . chapter 1 Aw... That is a particularly sweet story. :) Cute too! ("In your dreams..." & "Not on your life...") And I liked the bit about Alfred--the most mysterious person in the story is Alfred. But Bruce does a good airhead impression with shadings of his inner self.
Once again, you've turned out a brilliant Batman story that tugs on the heartstrings.

Christina K 2007-08-17 . chapter 1 Man, I love this. Jim is one of my favorite people in the Batman universe, and seeing him happy is just... awesome. And like you had him think: men accept their mistakes, don't go crazy or kill themselves, just find a way to live with it. And sometimes that's not as hard as you'd think.
Plus, the parallels/comparisons to the Bat family and Wayne family point it up beautifully. |
