I just have to point out that when you say the pink confetti is 'omniscient,' I'm pretty sure you mean 'omnipresent,' as confetti cannot be all-knowing. ;)

I must confess that I am guilty of being something of a silent stalker; but since I'm sat here on Valentine's Day (well, alright, one hour after it, but who's counting?) having just finished re-reading this for the fifth or sixth time in as many months, I figured it was about time I left a review.

As is probably evidenced by the reading total listed above, I absolutely adore this story. In fact, I believe it is my very favourite Harry Potter fic of all time, and being a die-hard Severus/Minerva fangirl, I have read a LOT.

So why so I like it so much? Well the characterisations are lovable and closely resemble the canon characters; and Lockhart in particular never fails to make me laugh. Also, the chemistry between Severus and Minerva is brilliant, and the part at the end where they are embarrassed is priceless. I can quite imagine all this happening, and it would fit perfectly into the book. I also really like the way we get to see parts of the action from everyone's perspective.

My one critical comment would be that in places the dialogue is somewhat out of character, because there are one or two instances where it sounds a little too Americanised and occasionally too colloquial to fit with my visions of the characters. However, this has never significantly detracted from my pleasure in the reading, so I count it a very small criticism.

Overall, as I have said, I truly love this story; so thank you for making me smile time after time. Happy Valentine's Day!

Utterly amazing. I don't believe I've laughed that hard in awhile. Character portrayal was beautifully executed, writing structure was on-the-spot perfect, and it really should be published. Rest assured I will be reading your other stories as soon as I finish with this review. Very impressive.

(And for the record, brilliant plot! Lockhart is the gayest thing since gay hit Gaytown!)

Cute story. But it's Minerva who's heavy-handed with the points deductions, not Snape - at any rate, up until HBP. If you compare their records for the first five years, Minerva takes more points off per infraction ... and incidentally, assigns more than three times as many detentions: 22 to Snape's 7.

I love it! It's hilarious to see Lockhart trying to sedue Snape.

well, I think I finally found my ultimated Snape's romance OTP!

right now after reading this fanfic, Minerva seems such a netural choice for snape probably since I cannot say that the age difference between them bothered me - i have been always sure that Mcgongall looked like a well kept 40 years old woman (and not the granny everyone usually describe her).
