I don't think I've ever heard of Sakura being summoned from death like this, it's a clever and delightfully scuzzy/devious ploy, totally Orochimaru. However, I'm disappointed with this fic not because Naruto loses. Sometimes that'll happen. And not even because, as it seems, Orochimaru wins (although how exactly he escaped the Wind Rasengan is a bit shaky...just to say he Sharinganed his way out of it seems a bit too glib). Sometimes the bad guy wins. I'm disappointed because of how Naruto behaves, and not because he lets Sakura kill him. But because he sees her and the will to fight-even though he knows what awaits her as soon as the fight is over-goes out of him like water from a bucket with a hole in it. It's difficult to imagine that Naruto would not have familiarized himself with the favored technique of one of his greatest (and Konoha's) enemies, Orochimaru's summoning. Given that, I cannot imagine he wouldn't be able to realize, "Hey, this is Sakura's body, but she's here unwillingly, and as soon as she kills me, Orochimaru will either: dismiss her back into death, or torture her for a while and then dismiss her into death." I'm disappointed because what does Naruto's submission gain him? Sakura will not live. Sasuke will not be retrieved. Konoha will not be protected. Quite the opposite on all counts, in fact. Sakura will die having endured nothing but more suffering. Sasuke's body will remain Orochimaru's flesh-puppet. Konoha will almost certainly fall, thus leading to death or slavery for everyone else he loves. And why? All because Naruto is unwilling to kill Sakura, releasing her from a horrible unlife? It's supremely selfish in all the ways Naruto isn't. Now, if Sakura had been ALIVE-really alive-and Naruto's submission could've freed her somehow, well, that would be quite different. It'd still be a tragedy, but a plausible one. Anyway, sorry to complain so much. Like I said, this is a well-written story, but I believe the fundamental premise is flawed.

Amber-Endorphin 2007-09-01 ch 1,	abuseAmazing. Really. At the beginning, I was so sure that this was going to be another 'Sasuke betrays Naruto, or Sakura betrays Naruto' deal. But I held out till the end, and I am glad I did. This was an extremely emotional story. A great, albeit tragic, mix of action and heartbreak. I was near tears at the end, knowing that Naruto would never lift a hand against her. The premise of this story was pretty unique too. And the summary well thought and fitting. Well done.

Tragic stories like these always pull on my heart strings, and I'm telling you, I'm a really big suck; I have a lot. This is really well written, and the amount of emotion in this is unbelievable. So in the end, they both will feel guilty and forgiven for killing each other. Damn, what a sad way to be. I can't imagine what Sakura was going through, having to do that. Extremely well done.

It was ironic how the whole team was finally together again and then was ripped apart again so quickly. I wouldn't have been able to take it if I was Sakura.
psycotic-angel123 2007-08-22 ch 1,	abuseomg that was so sad, but yeah i like this pairing more than sasuke/sakura because it's a lot more realistic (come on, sasuke parctically hates her...). but anywho, this fic had such a sad (yet cute) ending, at least they're going to be together in the end, right? the quote at the end, i've heard it somewhere; it fit really well. well done - good job - etc. and it was written beautifully. ^-^
