This is really amazing--I love the dysfunctional family dynamics and the humor is wonderful. It left me feeling a little cold and sad though, which I guess could be the point.

I love this so much I don't know what to say. Uh... poor Jasson? And courting Kel- LMAO! The Contes are so dysfunctional I can't quote anything specific... too much- overload! Anyway this is great.

Oh man. Fen. Fenella, Fenella, Fenella. You just managed to create a family as dysfunctional as Venturus, Archer, Torquil, Erskine and the rest. Congratulations, I think.

The sheer amount of family dynamics you managed to fit into 1,0 words or so is kind of staggering, considering how many Contes (plus maid) were around the dinner table. Every one of them had a definite character and place in the family, and no one got lost in the dialogue-shuffle over the course of the story.

There are way too many funny lines to quote at you, and I'm trying to pick my favourite Conte, or maybe just the one that scares me the most. It's hard, but I think Vania wins as most terrifying, especially after you compared her to Jon. Aiee. Of course she wants a pony.

The line that made me laugh the most was the one about Gary's new Royal Expenditure Approval board. Did you catch any of the conversations Sally and I had about Jon and Gary having horribly polite power struggles in public, and horrifying their lackeys? Methinks Gary is getting revenge! Yep, between that and Cythera making him lose the mustache, Gary was definitely my favourite (absent) family member. --Imo

Our dysfunctional Royal family; I can feel the tension and the bile in the atmosphere as if I was there myself. The other side of Tortall, done so well. Looking forward to seeing Kel's reaction to Jasson. And Lerant. I am worryingly keen on Lerant's presence in fics.
