This one was rather sad, but very enjoyable and well written. You caught me completely off guard at the end. I had no idea I was reading about a little Derek Jr. History . . . has repeated itself it seems. So Derek's tumor was related to his Healing Touch ability? It makes me wonder if all the Stiles men are doomed to die at a young age. Derek's father mentioned something about focusing on a shape to increase concentration. Maybe he had the Healing Touch as well and didn't realize it.

One bit of concrit I had in regards to this line -

"The woman’s response was a broken affirmative."

While there's nothing wrong with the line itself, it just didn't seem to fit right with the tone of scene. It was too mechanical for it, if you will, but this is just my opinion. It was still a very well written over all. I hope we see more from you.
