Awwe. I thought that this one was very cute and very good. I loved the way that Mariam's description fitted into a piece of glass. It's amazing how you can find people inside objects. I hope you continue writing for this pair!

Hey! New Max/Miriam fic! I can't believe I haven't read it yet! I hold this as testimony to the fact that my ninternet is screwed up.
Anyway, great story. I REALLY liked the sentence about crickets chirping in desolate harmony. I don't know, the chirping of crickets is normally annoying as hell, but sometimes, depending on your mood, it can be happy, sad or angry. It's as if the stupid little things have sensors and they go according to your mood. Or maybe (and this is more probable) it all depends on your perception. There's this song I listen to a lot, and it can be sad or happy. depending on how I'm feeling. Weird.
Anyway, enough rambling. I also liked the thingamajig about frustration: very well-written and well thought out. I've noticed, by the way, that you changed tense a few times, like in the frustration paragraph.
So basically, Max is one piece of glass and Miriam is the other, and they both fit together? Lol, I like that point of view. This pairing is annoyingly difficult to write, so hats off to you!
