I love your description of Megsy's voice, very well done, keeps me thinking of how it's supposed to be posh and proper and all that. And poor Demmy, he doesn't really get what's going on until the end. This is how Screamer's managed to survive as long as he has, he listens to gut instinct. Too bad Demmy didn't realize this - really, being touched in any way by Megsy outside a battlefield should put someone on alert that something's about to happen.

Anywho, great story and I hope you write more. Sorry I couldn't give you a more constructive response.
