Another wonderful story where character's feelings matters more that plot.*_*
Like always, you've made a great job to put your reader in Kaito's shoes, and like always, it's touching to see the human teenager hidden behin Kid's monocle.

Once you have started to read this one, it's impossible to stop before to know how it will ends. And the last scene was heartbreaking and soft.

Sure, it let a lots of unanswered questions and seemed to scream for a sequel, but I don't think it matters too much.
After all, that was not the point of the story, the point was only Kaito's worries toward his mum, his fear to see the grey org stealing another one of his most valued treasure and a mother comforting the one who is still a child before to be the Kid, that's all, and it's more that enough to make a good story.

I was randomly looking for some good Kaito stories, and your story is exactly what I needed! You expressed Kaito's feelings of desperation so well, and the story just seemed really realistic to me. Is this gonna be a multi-chaptered story? The way you ended the chapter, I could see it going either way. I really wish the Detective Conan anime would feature Kaito's story more...
