 JenniferPlague 2007-12-05 . chapter 4:D
I read the first chapter, but then it seems I forgot about it. LSKD. But this is so cool~! All my ideas are completely unoriginal, ahahaha. It is so interesting to see how their thought patterns are similar, compared to what happened in the manga.
... I wanna see Infinity with this. Are you going to do Infinity? :O :O |
angelofplottwists 2007-12-04 . chapter 4Oh, this is quite superb. It's very interesting to see where you take this, what changes and what stays the same. Poor Cloney, though. You said you wanted speculation, so... I can see Sakura being angry, though she doesn't want to - both with R!Syaoran and Fai. And though she knows they acted the only way they could, she cannot help but resent their actions, and pull away ever so slightly. Which would leave Kurogane and Mokona with the closest connection to her. That might cause Kurogane a quandary - he'd feel as if Sakura was now his responsibility. He's probably a better man for the job than Fai, though.
Consequentially, Fai and Syaoran would probably bond much more than they did in canon. The whole group (not including Sakura) would probably be far more tight-knit. But...
Since Sakura does not go find the egg, she would not have had the vision of Fai killing Syaoran. So that would not have been prevented, and R!Syaoran would die. Fai, who had a much closer bond with Syaoran than previously, would not take well to this. Sakura would probably do worse, as this was the original of the love of her life, and now both were dead, and she never was quite able to forgive him even though she knew he loved her. And then there were three.
So by now Ashura has woken up, and Fai (who has probably grown more as a person than he had at that point in canon) realises that he's got to face his demons. Or maybe that's the second half of his price. But at any rate, they wind up in Celes, where backstory happens (mercifully skipped through) and Fai gives up on his true wish, and when pressed he kills Ashura, seeing as he possesses his full magic. This does not help his psyche, though. They make it out of Celes, into Nihon, but Kurogane as stated before has taken on care of Sakura and decides to continue on, and so Fai does as well (obviously). Possibly Seishirou is encountered.
Things are looking bright compared to canon, but not when FWR is finally encountered. For R!Syaoran knew things that would help in this encounter, but he's dead. And FWR will stop at nothing to realise "the dream" and has conveniently had Sakura's body with its memories delivered to him. Neither Kurogane or Fai or both are a match for Fei Wong Reed, and without the knowledge R!Syaoran possessed they have no chance. Sakura is captured, they both die, and the fact the dream is impossible to realise is of little consequence, as the quest to save Sakura has failed.
I hope you don't mind my speculations. I'm definitely not saying this is how it should go, I'm just voicing my thoughts. Feel free to use 'em, though. Thank you for writing such excellent fic that has made me think so much.
