What a captivating character sketch! I loved this line: "she feels like a marionette whose strings have been snipped, falling away from her controller, but instead of crumbling into a heap of helpless angles and joints, she feels like she’s flying."

Wow...that's really strong analogies and powerful words, just wow. I really liked the story. I found this in the Reviews Lounge C2, and I'm going to add it to my own oneshot C2.

Nice idea and very well written--I LOVED the ending in particular, the way Andromeda walked out of all the pictures. Reminds me of something Andromeda would do; she wasn't radically supportive of the Order or anything, but she instead was on middle ground, in "shades of gray". Not like Sirius, who openly defies the Blacks--he'd be more the type to stay in the pictures just to spite his family, if you know what I mean.

wow, fantastic. andromeda is such a little-explored character, and i think this is a wonderful insight into the pressures of belonging to a world you don't believe in. beautifully written as always, and a fantastic characterisation, not only of Andromeda, but of narcissa too. it's difficult to believe those two are sisters, really.
the fact that andromeda leaves the photographs was a very lovely and very telling little touch. i really enjoyed this, well done!
