Yes, this is definitely Rem's thought in the story. And this one make me thinking, if she really knew about that, why killed L and Watari than? yes off course if she didn't do that Misa will be killed, poor shinigami, she didn't have any choice. In the end, Light's die and Misa's commit suicide, it's all useless.
