That was great; finely someone got Athrun’s head out of his **, so he could acutely use it. I do have a problem with the ending. Wasn’t Lacus’s ship shot down Juunius 7? So does that mean that they’re going to be refugees again? And who are going to rescue them? Or did Lacus’s ship leave late?

I really enjoyed this - solid writing for a sweet divergence that stops the Kira/Athrun juggernaut of DOOM before it can really get going, while saving Nicol. Very much liked seeing Athrun act intelligently, since he is supposed to be a genius.

A very interesting AU and one of the better Kira leaves the Archangel ideas I have seen. My only problem is that it seems OOC for Kira to just sit in the Blitz while Nicol was helping destroy the Archangel, even this early in the series, and then have so little angst afterwards. Maybe is he had been knocked out in the transfer?

Anyways, I look foward to where you will take this story next.

This is a very interesting what if. I enjoyed the scenes with Nicol teasing Athrun, and later Kira and Athrun about their 'special friendship'. You mentioned possible sequels, would they have have Lacus/Nicol by any chance? I thought I detected a hint of it.

Even though it would get our two favorite ZAFT boys in trouble, I can't help imagining the reactions of our other two favorite redcoats if they found out what Nicol and Athrun pulled off.

Awesome story! I've seen a couple "what if" plots and this was one of the best. I would definitely like to see more of this fic, or more like it. There aren't enough good Athrun/Kira fics out there.
