This is really sad and heartbreaking. They /could/ work on getting their relationship back together. I'm sure if both of them make concessions, especially Hermione, then it could all work out. I didn't expect her to say her life, but rather her heart...Is it too much to ask for a sequel?

Realistic. The two of them are as far from perfect as you can get, and this break up portrays that. I like it.

..I cannot be forgiven?..

Luckily it turned out well for me, I forgave and I was forgiven and our bond became stronger than ever. I wish you'd write a sequel to this fic as well, to give people hope and to show, that true love can reach the other's heart, it can make people change and it can make us forgive.
