Oh man, this one brought me back...10 years back in fact when I lost my own mother. My father did the same as Tomomasa, he did go through the mourning period...but kept trying to be strong for my brother and I who were just children. I saw my father wasn't handling it too well so I tried to be strong for him and my brother.
This story really made me think back and consider everything my family went through when my mother passed on. I didn't understand too well about what happened back then (I was only 11), but after reading this, I got a better insight, one I probably never would've had if it wasn't for this. Thank you for helping me see that.
The vivid way it was described, and how Takamichi was there for his partner (in more ways than one) made me think about how my friends kept trying to help me. That was great how Takamichi told Tomomasa that all men cry (and these days boys are raised to be strong and not show emotions). Very well written, I enjoyed reading this. Thank you for your many contributions to the fanfiction of one of my favourite anime.
