Knuckles had an awesome moment and it was great. The fight scene was entertaining, especially with poor Shahra. And then Captain Jack Shadow. Oh dear...

Could I parody this? As in give you credit for what I use and go even FARTHER away from the storyline? It's just that I had a lot of ideas that popped into my head when I read this. If not, just say a simple no, if yes say a simple yes.

...Please tell me you aren't insulting Christianity for sick kicks... I love the story, but seeing a Bible story being insulted like that is kind of disturbing. Plus, after Moses parted the waters he put them back into place on top of millions of soldiers, wouldn't that get rid of the flood? Just sayin' Great story none-the-less.

BWAH-HAHAHAHAHA! Oh dear lord, I just LOVE your characterization of Cap'n Shads! Bloody brilliant, that is! Keep up the writing, mate. This has gone too far to turn back now!

oh man oh man Taranea, you have no clue how much seeing the email alert that you have updated this story made me smile! It's good to hear that you are doing alright with everything in real life and still taking time to write, and that you're living and studying in Japan- you are a brave woman! (Even Japanese as a minor stresses me out, good for you!)

Now on to the actual review! :) From what I could tell, style wise, it seems cleaner, mainly that I did not notice any flyaway spelling or grammatical errors or anything like that- the chapter was nice and compact and still action filled with some little bitty bits of drama that just added more to it!

First of all can I just say how much I love Knuckles in this chapter? In the games you can tell that he *does* care about Sonic and his other friends, it just isn't really focused on, but here- ahhh he is such a mama bear! I loved how steely he was, with just the words, "He hurt the kids." and Sonic is genuinely surprised that Knuckles is acting now- and then the echidna goes on to kick major Kraken butt! Plus Sonic prioritizing Amy and Tails' safety over whatever else- his friends come first even in the midst of a battle!

I also think that with just those words in that little part we got to see a bit of Knuckles' personal philosophy, too- that he cannot stand for the "innocent" or those unable to protect themselves (or those unable to do so as well as he can, in Tails and Amy's cases!) to get hurt. He's heroic even if he is standoffish and generally the most sane and level headed of Sonic's group. _

Basically I just love (and will continue to love) how you characterize him in this story, and, I really loved (man how many times will I say that in this review!) how you pointed out that Sonic had never received a punch in full force from Knuckles, and likely wasn't to survive it, and how he winced at the echidna's arm muscles bulging. It shows that Sonic has never truly driven Knuckles to that point even with all his playful antagonizing and that Knuckles is really scary powerful.

I enjoyed your little continuity nods too- like the reference to their combination attack in Dark Brotherhood, and that Knuckles didn't specifically remember as Sinbad that it was Captain Jack Shadow who stole from him- I didn't expect that at all! And the ending- poor Amy must be miserable and mortified that a Shadow dressed in dreads and pirate clothing stole her first kiss. And can I just say that "And still runs like a girl." was a perfect way to close out the chapter. :)

It was so good to hear (read?) from you again Taranea! I look forward to whatever else you manage to write, as always! Take care and hopefully I too will update with something soon. :D

Ughhh... My iPhone hates this site. Too bad, I love it. And like it or not I am going to review, you daft phone.

Right, the fanfic. I love the game and I love the fic. I LOVE the changes you made and I love the things you kept the same. I can't wait for Captain Jack Shadow to be returned to normal... If knuckles thinks he's embarrassed, he should just wait for Shadow! Poor guy will NEVER live this down.

I'll provide a longer review when I'm on a computer and the keyboard doesn't vanish every thirty seconds, but I will just say: if these were printed books they'd be on my shelf of favourite authors. Consider them there virtually. _

I love this adaption. It's funny, the character interactions are gold, Sonic is hilarious and you still manage to keep it faithful to the game, while including some new twists as well. That's impressive in my eyes. And I really love how in character everyone is. :)

A lot of this story had me on the floor laughing. I love all the fourth wall breaking and Captain Jack Shadow had me in tears from laughter.

Great job. Keep it up.

God, this thing is sooo long! Well, it did take you 5 years 2 write it. But no biggie. Captain Jack...SHADOW? Ok, i seriously didn't expect that to happen. That was hella funny! Btw, i have no idea how many times you broke the fourth wall, but it was ALOT. Can u update faster, sense its summer vacation? Please?

Alright! Another chapter that was WELL worth the wait! You gotta' love how good ol' Cap'n Jack runs don't you? xDD
