Parental hypocrisy doesn't appear very often in Disney television shows but it still happens. A lot. And I loved watching Kim (gently) tease her father. Again, not a common occurance on the program but something that COULD happen as she matures and James becomes a little more accepting of her growing up.

Nicely done, sir.

Great story few inconsistancies but a great story none the less. Seems like a parents natural reaction to lie to keep their kids from having their fun.

I can totally see this one. I wonder if Mr.Dr.P. grounded himself for a month? (not that that would be a hardship with the Mrs. staying in too. LOL) Good job on a past that's rarely explored.

Is that Skewed memories, or lewed memories? Either way, fun read!

Oh, and whatever Anne's dad was reaching for behind the seat, I wonder if it was a 12 or 16 Gauge?

At least Kim was able to get a 1 o'clock curfew out of him...

Nice job with this...

Laters...

“I know this is a little weird, but what did you and Mom do when you were younger? For dates I mean,” I bristled at the direction this conversation was heading, “And don’t tell me to go talk to Mom, she told me I had to ask you.” I made a mental note to repay my wife’s kindness later.

Gee, can;'t a guy even read the paper anymore?

WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING

Daughter asking questions about her parent's past.

WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING

solution: feed her a different version of the truth and see if she buys it.

She sorty buys it, and then Anne comes in...

Anne’s soft hands slid down my arm and pulled my watch into view, “Oh dear, it’s only seven. What could we possibly do to pass the time?”

It doesn’t take a brain surgeon or a rocket scientist to guess what happened next. She used that surgeon’s tender care to perform miracles on me, and I sent her to the moon.

Oh, my, goodness: I like your James/Anne story!
check out one under my profile: a bit longer, but I think you'll like it!

Great job on this one: you've got James nailed (in more ways than one: LOL!).

I wonder if Mr. Dr. P. knows he was just played.. I liked the little backstory on the Drs. P., using 'ain't going down til the sun comes up' (or what ever the actual title is) was amusing. Well written and well paced. Glad to see you back up on the writting horse!
