MoonCat 9/1/07 . chapter 1 This story is made of win and awesome. You did a good job on your take on Blackwell's confession. I had Ganon's theme playing in my head as I read the scene where Blackwell makes a deal with the devil to save his daughter's life in exchange for his freedom. That little Derek x Angie thing at the end is very touching. Derek had really done good. Not only he saved a father's life, but he also made it possible for a daughter to forgive her father after hearing him out. I personally believe that the death of his own father is what drove Derek to save Blackwell, although one can take into account that it is a doctor's job to save the patients, not judge them. There are so many things he wanted to say to his father but couldn't; at least, thanks to him, Angie won't have to suffer the same agony as he did. I have noticed long ago that Derek and Angie have daddy issues and those were the foundations of the events that led up to them saving humanity from extinction. Funny how life works, eh? Now that I have given you my food for thought for the day, it's time to get back to business! See you next review! |
