I know that at this point the story probably ends (or lets us create our own ending in our imaginations) but if you have more to share, PLEASE DO!

The total reality *this-could-totally-happen* factor? Yes. 100 times over. Believed it without a doubt. You have it perfect- somehow you've tapped into Stephenie Meyer's reality and taken from it her knowlage of their world.

I agree that Bella, by the end of Eclipse, had matured into a woman who knew what she needed to do to make her life complete. No more vacillating between guilt inducing mind games/pressure to choose coming from Jacob and the ever patient, true Love of her life Edward. She had to release herself from the self imposed torture that Jacob encouraged constantly. I Love Jacob...but he made her life so much worse than necessary...ah but don't we do that to each other. She chose the Cullen family over her own flesh and blood family who didn't quite know what to do with her. Charlie was more a 'roommate' than father, Renee chose her life with Phil over her daughter, so love lost here...sorry this is so long...arg! I LOVE TWILIGHT !
