This was one of the hardest stories I have ever read. Not because of the quality of writing (which, by the way, was very high) but because I kept wanting to scream or cry in frustration (and, as it happens, I did do the latter). I wanted them to truly look at each other, despite knowing it was a hypocritical and futile hope. People see what they wish to see for the most part, I suppose, myself included. It's extremely hard for me to read these fanfics about the harsh reality of the world. I still want to believe that forgiveness and happily ever afters do exist, and that every action, and every human being, is black and white. Thank you very much for writing this. It truly is an amazing story.

I simply wanted to mention how much I enjoyed reading this story. The obvious awe-factors would be how well-written the story is in general, how well-written and in-character the characters are, and how beautifully the plot allows the characters to grow. However, the reason I'm writing this review is because I was so impressed with just how much deeper this story went.

Your focus on the less popular characters of the Potterverse is what really brought this story to life. Here are characters who are just as important, and just as complex, as the main characters, and your ability to narrate the story through their eyes made this story incredibly unique. Also, you weren't afraid to take chances; for example, both Minerva and Penelope died: characters which are far from the "expected" characters to die.

Finally, what personally brought enjoyment to me was your recognition of the additional growth Harry still needs even after the war. As much as I love how Harry grew and matured in the last book of the Harry Potter series, he still has a way to go, and your story was an incredibly realistic and beautiful way - even if it occurred in an alternate universe - to demonstrate and additional step in the process.

This is a beautiful story. That's all I have to say about it now, beautiful. Heh, I have a school day and I couldn't pull myself away. Anyway, I love this story and how you showed everyone's inner conflict without absolving their faults/wrongdoings, as many authors do.

Great story, it ended well. Not euphorically happy, but... well, content. And I did feel a sense of closure at the end. I loved how some things remained a mystery so far in, very clever. I spent quite a while wondering who Snape's mysterious saviour and Secret Keeper would be. It was a brilliant story full of so many shades of grey, where practically no character was always in the right, yet remained believable and understandable. Full of love, broken hearts and acceptance. Well done.

I felt so very upset by Penny's death though... heart-breaking. Poor Percy!
