This story does an excellent job of taking a canon scene and changing it by altering the reasoning behind it only. It's brilliant. The characterisation is great and the pace, style, and grammar are solid as well.

This was a great...drabble, scene? Anyway, I rather liked the perspective. It was a very interesting idea as to why/how Kenshin chose who to say goodbye to and, perhaps more importantly, who not to.
