This is a bit of a neat take on this. I've often wondered why there aren't more HP stories where when he discovers his magic while young he doesn't look to and pattern his magic after D&D and like games, and I really wish I could find more stories where he does (as of now, I can only really think of one story where he does that, and even then the story is rather short. Although it was updated not too long ago so there's hope for more).

That said, this is (I think) the first time where he's gone to the Realms to learn magic to begin with. While I don't know why he would return (much less what happened between the start of Neverwinter and the jump to Earth), or what the exact time differences are going to be (as that depends on how cannon perfect the author wants to be) and the differences in age between him and everyone else, I'm looking forward to more. Good luck!

I was going a HP search and found "An Ancient;s Journey". When I checked I found i had missed an update. It's as good as I remembered.

I decided to see if "Forgotten Realms" had been updated too. No, its as good as I rememberd, too.

I did notice I something that I missed (sorta) before. When you were introducing Daeghun Farlong, it is mentioned "Time behaved rather differently between the Planes". That raised the questions: What is Harry's Forgotten Realms age, you did say that "gaining the title of Journeyman, on his eighteenth birthday", and what is the date, and/or where is he reintroduced into your HP realm story?

When I reviewed in April, I was thinking relationships of your main characters and what/who they might have to worry about. Now I think who might help them adjust to the Wizard/muggle realms, good and bad, probably is/are more important.

I now also wonder how caring/manipulative your Dumbledore is.

I also have to wonder if/when Dumbledore does an evaluation, whether Harry, having gained at least "the title of Journeyman", and Elanee, close (intimate?) companion and Druid, might be considered Teachers/Professors instead of students?

Again, with so many questions and thoughts, I really hope you continue this so I can see where it goes from here!

You made no mention of Harry having any sisters, so it looks that Harry already has a, possibly intimate, lady friend, the reactions to the other children at Hogworts, let alone Dumbledore, should be interesting.

If Elanee is indeed an intimate girlfriend, Dumbldore's and McGonigel's reactions should be classic, specially if they request personal separate rooms for themselves.

Um ... wonder if you will still have them befriend and support the bushy haired bookworm named Hermione when they meet on the train?

Since Harry considers the the curses and shields in the book required to be juvenile, the fireworks if the "Sorting Hat" tries to separate them, hoo boy . And if/when some clod or idiot (read Malfooy and friends ... or Ronald) insults or grabs for Elanee ... Whoa.

Snicker, lets not forget Snape. While he has learned to respect teachers, he had NOT been repressed by the Dursleys; and when looking at brooms, you indicated Harry and Elanee had had some experience with war.

this is sweet! keep it up. how old is harry anyway right now at the end of chap 2? there is an idea i have thought of and it is that the 'sisters' and el raise harry up since the night harry's parents died. some aspects would be the same as the story though.

I like it so far, waiting to see what happenes next.
