Konoha's Kage

Probably the affective 200 words I've ever read.

...I liked it, but the part with Rem seemed unnesesary. I thought from the summary it would be focused more on Rem's actual handwriting than of Light-kun musing about names. But other than that bit, your story was written very well and it was an interesting read. I liked it quite a bit.

You are amazing. I can't remember the last time I've been so impressed with such a short piece of literature. I read it three times, and then just stared. I envy authors so much who can give such powerful messages while only wielding a small handful of words - and you impress.

I never put much consideration into it, whether or not Light would have looked into the Death Note to uncover L's name. Maybe I assumed that he would definitely steal a glance at the words that he would've once been close to trading half of his lifespan for. But it's undeniable that he carries a certain level of respect for L, something unshakable that goes beyond their Kira vs L battle, and the way you called names "a tool, a means of labeling" - that just seemed perfect. "It would be utter disrespect to reduce a human to a name."

Also, the way you used Rem's handwriting as the initial focus. It's the perfect introduction line - Raito never knew how Rem's handwriting looked like. Any proper Death Note fan will be run with a chill like I was when they realize the full notion that implies.

Again, this was magnificent. I'm sorry for rambling, I'm just really impressed.
