abuseAnother nice chapter. With all the innovative ideas you come up with, I look forward to the richer history you're going to present and glad you are not making the Ancients the second fiddle.

abuseWell sounds interesting. Rather curious as to what connection the Doctor had with the construction of Atlantis. One thing that piqued my interest was Daniel's reaction to hearing about the Daleks and the Doctor, particularly his need to keep that information hidden from Vala. I'd be interested to see what sort of connection Vala has to the two and how Daniel is aware of it.

abuseWow! Having recently seen Genesis of the Daleks on DVD (Wholeheartedly recommend it to ANY fan of the show who doesn't have it) I now understand WHAT Dalek weaponry does to the body. As for the Doctor, I think it was either the first or, more likely, the mysterious incarnation known simply as The Other, who was involved with The Ancients and Atlantis! Only time will tell! (I know, I know, BAD PUN!)

abuseAh, nicely done. But somehow I don't think that's the end of their Dalek problem.

abuseNice chapter, not just keeping the tension up, but ratcheting it up another notch. Truly capturing how a Dalek encounter typically went on Dr. Who. These were not things one fought conventionally, and rarely did the same thing stop them. Well wrought unconventional tactics this chapter.

abuseSomething tells me that just taking out three Daleks is NOT the end of this tale! Daleks do not just self destruct like that, and not leave something behind! No, no no. Not if I know my Dalek history. Those pepper pots did something else before they left, and the Doctor had best do some searching to find out just WHAT!

abuseHad to smile with the comparison of doctors, didn't think of them that way until you mentioned it. Another great chapter, one that admits how dated the Daleks look to our jaded eyes and yet still brought out the horror of facing them would still be. Nice touch with timing on when to put in their weakness, while reading it was just a beat after I thought 'but what about...' and then it was there in the story. Made perfect sense for 'skirt boy' to be an appellation one of the characters would give Jamie, just not sure it should have been in the narrative. It did plainly state who it was talking about, but it seemed like a judgement call as well. Still I am -very- glad Jamie is included, and I adored the pocket scene with the Doctor. Looking forward to the next chapter. Thank you for writing this one.

abuseDaleks are always full of little surprises aren't they! The effectiveness of the Daleks must of been a big shock fot eh over confident Atlantians. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.

abuseNice one. Daleks are pretty tough - but a few drones should be able to destroy them shouldn't they? Only problem: How to get the Daleks somewhere where the drones can reach them.

abuseWhen is Humanity going to LEARN that not everything should be REACTIVATED! Now you have Daleks running around Atlantis, and they KNOW that the Doctor is there! YEESSH! Time to form Plan B, and quickly!

abuseOh I love the end. That's always the best kind of cliffhanger when the Daleks show up. They're my favourite enemy. I also particularly love this line:

'Well obviously... We're...' Rodney had one of his trademark brilliant flashes. 'We are not actually "in" the box. We're in a layer of sub-space accessed through a trans-dimensional portal projected inside the blue box which acts as moving door. Ha!'

Because it really is just very Rodney-ish. Whom I love. I am also particularly amused by Carson and Jamie in the same room. The story of the Time Lords' 'dealings' with the Ancients was really quite well done. The Ancients do seem to like sending envoys and it never seems to work out well. I also like the idea of the super-powerful (and hubristic) Ancients being treated like the other races treated the Taur'i. Seems fitting.

Thank you so much for your review of With Apologies to Douglas Adams. It was very helpful to actually get something more than "Great, continue!".

Looking forward to what happens next!

abuseI really don't know whether to like you or not. Cliffhangers are evil, and since you seem to be so well versed in them, that would make you evil too. :D

But that was a cool chapter. Besides your little digs at being American. But since you just updated, I'll forgive you. :D

I want to know what in the universe those scientist are thinking? I mean, do none of them watch TV? Do that not know what happens when you wake up the odd looking robots? I mean come on!

And the ancients have info on the T-Lords? Well that's a shocker. Didn't see that one coming. :D Though it really does add to the cake. :D

See you next chapter! :D

abuseLovely chapter, and what an ending! Nice meeting of the scotsmen too. I also enjoyed how you really captured the essence of the second Doctor, Jamie and Victoria. Great interactions all around. Thank you for writing this!
