Holy mother of Butch Cassidy, and here I was ready to write this story off simply because I've barely seen half an episode of Stargate, which would have been inordinately stupid of me. Firstly, for knowing next to nothing about SG beyond basics, the individual personalities of your main players took distinct shape in my head. I found it very easy to picture the people, the settings, and the interaction was believable. I know I probably didn't catch the majority of references to the show, but you adequately explained ones geared towards furthering the plot, and the backgrounds. I also had the interesting pleasure of getting to create the characters in my head since I cannot think of what a single of them looks like beyond Teal'c. I've also enjoyed how you've portrayed Jonny and Hadji, they come off as real kids. What really endeared me to Jonny is that you brought out the fact that fifteen-year-old boys do still cry, not too many can pull that off without being cheesy. Normally, I'm not a fan of the age gap between Jonny and Hadji; watching the original show they were both ten or eleven, but for once I don't mind it at all. You kept their mentalities roughly on the same level, and I think that made the world of a difference. Seriousness of the story aside, I've been having internal giggling fits over picturing Benton in Egyptian-like clothing, part of that is probably due to the fact I ended up staying up all night because I couldn't bring myself to stop reading. I can't say I regret it though, even if my brothers will rudely wake me in a few hours with all their banter and paint equipment. Anyway, you've got a brilliant little thrill of a read here, and I am delighted by the idea of reading more.

This JQ/Stargate crossover is one of the best written stories in this category. I have really enjoyed it so far and I have missed the regular additions! I hope you haven't abandoned the story, because it's wonderful, and I'd love to see the continuation. I do understand how real life crowds things out sometimes, but I'm just writing you to encourage you to finish this one out, because it's great.

I just stumbled upon this story and I'm so very glad I did. You know, it never occurred to me to mix these two universes, but now that you have, it's a really nice crossover. The characters mesh just beautifully, and I think the way you've mingled histories in both cannons with some original stuff is absolutely flawless. Oh, and I love your characterizations of Jonny, Hadji, Race, Jack, Daniel, gosh, everybody! I can hear all their voices in my head when I read, can hear the way they would say things. And I like that you're making the point about Jonny's intelligence being so great, but also vastly different from Benton's and Hadji's. He's not smarter per se than they are, but he thinks in a different direction, and it's therefore a whole other kind of genius. Beautifully done.

This is good. I've not read much Quest fan fiction since the last story that Debbie Kluge posted several years ago (if you've not read any of her stories, I strongly recommend them for any Quest fan), and this has been a great read so far.

I actually spent all weekend and read up to chapter 22. I love how you have worked the JQ fandom in with the Stargate fandom. Can't wait to be able to read more.
