SarahSupaStar 11/5/07 . chapter 1I like the concept, a look into the actual feelings of the Bitchy popular girl that everyone hates. I also like the way it's done, very well written. I like the way you took an actual scene from the movie and inserted her thoughts. I've always felt that that would be a great way to do a fanfiction.
But, since Shapray is a character from a Disney Channel movie (*note* theere is a FENOMINAL difference between a Disney Channel movie and a Disney Movie!) I do not believe that she thinks that way. I'm sorry, I know that only, like, less than one percent of fnafictions keep the characters exactly the way they were originally, although ninty-nine percent of them try to, it's just difficult becuase everyone interprets the characters differently. But that's how I interpreted her character.
Also, I'm not sure if you intended this or not, but it sounds kind of like she has a thing for Ryan, which would be seriously creepy because he is her brother (which is why I never got the line from the first High Shool Musical about how she would play both Romeo and Juliet if it weren't for him. I'm assuming that's supposed to just be a general statement that demonstrates her need to act, but it sounds kind of like a reference to an actual preformance that she and her brother did of Romeo and Juliet, which is creepy because of the whole, big, long, kissing secens they've got in there.) ANYWAYS... It would be kind of creepy, but I can also see how it could have been intended to be that he is ripping her heart out because he is her brother, and he is supposed to stand beside her through all their ups and downs, and now he's abandoning her for the very people she is trying to outstage.
I especially love the last line, "It's easier to act than to admit the truth". I don't know how to elaborate, it's just a really good line.
Overall, I liked it very much. Don't be discouraged by my criticisms. When I just like it in general, but I have a couple little things that I need to comment on, it tends to look like there's more about it that I don't like than I do, BUT IT'S NOT TRUE! There's more about it that I like than that I don't. |
