Well, I just found this story when you posted the last chapter. I really liked it and it was not a common idea. I liked Carla's journal at the end. I would have been great to have some little snippets from her journal earlier. The bank scene felt like it had too much in one scene--maybe it could have been split into 2 chapters or broken up with a flashback from Sara? If you do a sequel it would be interesting to have Carla start asking about her grandparents or how Sara and her brother ended up in foster care (what can I say, I like the angst). Please keep writing.
