This was a good illustration of how military type men respond to authority, even when they don't agree with the orders. I liked the way Ronan changed his mind, slowly, about the plan, and then realized that under the circumstances Shepherd's was the best. Good character story, with a nice little plot, too.

Excellent! But I wouldn't expect anything else from you. I've come to expect well written, insightful, stories with great storylines and spot on characterization. And you vary the groups of characters. This time being Sheppard and Ronan and the respect they have for each other even if they don't always agree with each other. Thanks

Can I just say what a pleasure this story was-loved the interaction between Ronon and Sheppard, and the trust Ronon found.

And especially, how refreshing it is to see the respect you granted the Atlantis Marines. Most writers seem to treat them as stupid grunts or Rodney's intellectual punching bags. I loved the closing sentence so, so much. Thank you for this!

It is not often that Ronon and Sheppard are alone, we do not know what happened to the rest of the team, but what WE do know is Ronon will take care of Sheppard...

What makes this particularly interesting is Ronon's study of Sheppard...

I liked Ronon from the beginning when we were introduced to him in Runner. There was something I liked and I figured IMMEDIATELY that Ronon would be Sheppard's 'six'

Rodney and Teyla would be there, but Ronon would be Sheppard's 'six'...

In later episodes it was reflected not only verbally, but sometimes by what Ronon did in defense of Sheppard e.g. one time stepping between Sheppard and what he viewed as a possible threat, from another person.

I really love that.

This is a good story and I can just see every aspect of it.

Another fabulously written story with a neat little plot. I liked the friendship in this one with Ronan and John. I also like the way that you don't go over heavy on the hurt/medical. It's there, playing its part, but it doesn't become boring, just enhances.
