Leebot 2007-10-01 ch 1,	abuseBah! I can't believe I missed this one when it first came out. Well, better late than never, I guess. Well, you're author's note at the end kind of caught me off-guard. I'm quite surprised you might think either that this was bad or they were OOC; I'd have to differ on both points. First of all, this is definitely up there in quality. Your writing style alone is quite good, and I only see a couple minor mistakes which any good beta of copyedit could catch. Your storytelling ability works quite well too. The first scene works well in setting up how you see Shizuru's character here, so we sympathize with her a lot more in the second. And everything in the second works so well together to make us feel for her and appreciate all of Natsuki's attention. I also don't think you've got the characters OOC at all. Granted, Shizuru's a lot weaker and meeker here than we normally see her, but we've never really seen her sick. It really isn't that surprising that she might be one to wallow in her own misery when it happens. Natsuki, too, seems completely IC. She's definitely a bit shy and uncomfortable about what she's doing, but she really cares for her friend and so she pushes through anyways. Overall, very nice fic. I hope you won't be too scared of fluff in the future. ^^

That Natsuki took care of her, that despite her gruffness she allowed herself to show so much of the tenderhearted girl we love, that you ended it with what you did. Not so sure this counts as romance, but nice nonetheless. ~Naolin

Still, this scene would have been impossible if OOC wasn't here. Nicely written. Should write a sequel of some sort or continue it. I'm a LITTLE, just a smidgen dissatistfied with the ending because they're not actually a couple. Just friends? Either way. Awesome.

Really, you shouldn't set such a high standard of writing, because now I expect nothing less from you. ~_0 And I'm sure we'll get nothing less too. Hehe. You set up a rather intriguing background for Shizuru and it's a shame this is a one-shot as it would have been interesting if it'd been explored more. Like, what her father's plans for her truly are? Perhaps you could use the idea in the future. :) "A creature without hope, only bearing angry ambition." Ahh, I like this line... it sums her up very nicely. :) Shizuru sick equals utter cuteness in my opinion. She's so vulnerable. And Natsuki was adorable, coming in and putting aside her embarassment to look after her friend. I don't think there was any OOCness at all, so no need to worry about that. ^^ Thank you for sharing that with us, it's made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!
