Wow, great story! I'm just confused as to what happened in the war. Who won? If they staged Fiyero's death (that part was also kinda confusing... It seems that Elphaba married him and THEN staged his death?) then the Resistance should have won. But then if they'd won, why is Glinda a slave? There shouldn't be slaves anymore... So then the other side won? But Fiyero... argh. See? It's kinda confusing... I'd appreciate it if you could explain that part to me. Overall, a VERY good story! )

I know this story is pretty old, but I happened upon it today and read all of it in one go, and I must say...this is seriously awesome.

Like, awesomely awesome.

The plot was gripping, and very interesting. Elphaba and Galinda were so adorable in this, as little kids- and I honestly didn't see the part with Galinda's mom until it came, very interesting little twist there :D

I was so sad when they switched places. It reminded me of one of those really sad books, when they don't see each other for years, and then they do- and everything is different and it's totally depressing. But I'm glad they were able to have their happily ever after; so glad. :D And Glinda's mom, at the end. That was sweet when her lover came back for her. :D :D

Anyways, I loved it. So original, and different. Well done.

wow. truly fantastic, i love how you expressed their emotions without telling us what they were, using adjectives intead of just 'she was _'

i especially liked how Galinda clung to Elphaba when she believed she was 'dying' :D

Got to say, I really liked this story -right up until this chapter. It was depressing how easily Elphie seemingly ditched the Animal and Slave rights rebel movement (being a rich person put her in a stronger position of power than ever to openly advocate change or covertly fund the resistance). Her treatment of Liir rang oddly false too, I just can't believe she'd be that much of a cow to a child -especially her own, no matter the circumstances of his birth (which are hardly his fault). Awkward perhaps, but not a complete b*tch. Glinda also seemed weird -she was way too accepting of her Slave status (I'd have expected much more problems with getting used to her situation) and I don't get why she dyed her hair either.

In general, this end chapter really felt completely rushed -to the point where I felt I could be reading an ending for almost a totally different story. This really saddens me, because I really was enjoying the story up 'til now. The way Glinda and Elphie interacted -and the progression of their feelings as they grew up was interesting and heart-warming. And I liked the image Elphie running off to fight for what she believed in and still managing to get home at the 11th hour (so to speak) and save Glinda from marrying Fiyero.

I was bored yesterday, and took a look at the Wicked fanfictions. By some miracle I came across yours and decided to start to read. I'm more of a one-shot or two-shot person, not really into chapters and such. But this fanfiction was just so captivating, I couldn't stop reading. From the moment I got onto the computer today I just stared at the screen and read. Read this wonderful story.

It is so magical, all characters exactly in their place. This is such a unique idea-buying Elphih as a slave, growing up, and Glinda herself a slave! No book could ever have such a great plot line.

I just wanted (as silly as this sounds) to thank you for writing such a wonderful and enjoyable story. I honestly love this story to bits!

Please continue writing Wicked fics-you have a true knack for it! I am looking forward to reading the rest of your Wicked fanfictions-I certainly won't be bored this Christmas break!

Love That Wicked 12/14/07 . chapter 10
I'm so glad Glinda and Elphie were reunited. They deserved to be together all along. And I'm really glad Ida got to be with her Ella.

Here's hoping for that epilogue. If not, this story was awesome just the way it is.

Wow, great chapter! And brilliant ending. I really liked it. I'm a sucker for happy endings what can I say. I love that Glinda named her daughter Mirth, mostly because it's an awesome name and just suited her perfectly. Really nice job with this whole thing!
