Oh my gosh I was near crying at the end, very good writing^^

omg that was soo cute. durning the part where lily went into labour i kept bursting out in laughter. i luved it soo much its was so funny.

This is a unique take on James and Lily's expectations. I found this section especially affecting:

James measured the young man, who had once been one of his very best friends, with cold contempt. He saw the deep worry lines etched in Remus’s face, an effect which was accentuated by the many scars. Now that he examined the other man so closely, he could not remember when Remus had laughed for the last time. It seemed like a lifetime ago, at Hogwarts, when they still had been children. The war had changed them so much. All the worry and mistrust… For some reason, James had always assumed nothing could ever come between their friendship. He had foolishly believed things would always stay like they used to be between them. The truth was, the war had changed people. Remus had become this bitter person, unable to find joy in anything anymore. Peter had become a nervous wreck, scared even of his own shadow. Only Sirius had somehow managed to stay the same young and carefree person he had always been. Yes, Sirius had laughed that barking laugh of his when James had confided Lily’s pregnancy to him. You – a father? That must be the joke of the century! Congratulations, mate! Oh, I’m so looking forward to seeing you change diapers… Sirius had shared James’s and Lily’s happiness – why could Remus not grant him this little bit of happiness in such dark times?

Angry and disappointed by his (former) friend’s reaction, James shot the next words at him. “And you’re an old and bitter man who is jealous because you can never have what we have.”

Oh...my. That is the first time I cried over a fanfic. Beautiful. It was beautiful, but you just know it will be destroyed. Your best fanfic.

Interesting. I was sort of surprised by how far along Lily got so fast, I think (although having, like you, only attended my own birth, this is based on books and movies) that there is some warning and pre contractions etc. before you reach the screaming phase. Oh well! I like the way that Remus pointed out the problems, someone had to!

Okay.I just know I read this some time ago...maybe even around october or november,but it's beyond me why I didn't review.This is a very nice story.It's intersting to see a different reaction to Lily's pregnacy by the Marauders.James' hysteric reaction to just about everything is hilarious!And you know what's the part that captivated me?'James and Lily, united in death.' this sentence brought tears in my eyes.

You know, I didn't really need to read that line at the end. But otherwise it's really good! But James needs to wash his mouth out with soap. I think you described Lily about to have the baby pretty well.

okay. um. good i guess. do you think you could do a story like this where Peter's NOT a traitor so nobody dies or gets sent to Askaban? I'm in the mood for a story like that, and I'm sure you could do one like that. i still liked this one though!^_^

This was really great! I love all of your stories, and I can totally see this happening. I love the way you made Remus and James fight like Remus and Harry did in DH. Twas so cute!
I felt so bad for Sirius when they were fighting, though. I always get stuck in the middle when my friends fight, so I know how it feels. I'm glad he stuck with Moony, though. Nothing like a little Padfoot to make anyone feel better:)

That was so cute! I have never seen a baby being born, but I can imagine it is somewhat like that, all people be seized på panic and get all crazy,(especially the dad).
And I love Sirius being as silly as he is :P
