transcontinental 4/22/09 . chapter 1Wow, really great job with the portrayal of Brodie. Seriously, I felt like I was actually hearing Jason Lee talk.
Loved it. |
Curt 1/10/05 . chapter 1 Very good Doug, But still 1 page |
khohen1 6/16/03 . chapter 1 Holy head, that was good. LOL. I really liked that. You really pegged Brodie, and Jason Lee's portrayal of him... his cadence is hard to get into print. Anyway, very good, LOVED the Batman reference. I can totally see this being the reason he was a comic store owner in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Kudos. |
genethedisaster 2/21/02 . chapter 1 thios was pretty fucking funny! i loved it..especally the "" my buffy time thing "" |
trillian 9/16/01 . chapter 1 Interesting, but it really doesn't hold your attention very well, i would like more passion and more excitement, instead of an evening at home. |
Ryan 8/30/01 . chapter 1 This was really good. I went to this site expecting half assed adaptions and rehashed jokes but I didn't expect this. You captured the characters and even through in the comic obsession. |
Patrick Bateman 8/29/01 . chapter 1 Loved this. You can really picture Broie sayng this stuff. I keep wanting to write a Kevin Smith fic, but I think I'll leave it to people like you. |
Magnolia Fan 8/27/01 . chapter 1 I'm so sick and tired of reading fan fics that, what's the word i'm looking for here?...hmmm...Oh yeah! Suck. When people don't know how to write a simple story with only two characters in it, or worse, more than two characters in it...! Words just can't begin to describe my disgust. They think what they're writing is funny and loyal to the original material they are paying "homage" to. I'm sick and tired of reading a story that some moron posted on the net just to show that he/she has mild talent, if any. As for this story, what can I possibly say. I hate when I waste my time reading bad writing...I'm just glad this wasn't one of those occassions. Bet you thought I was giving you a bad review, huh? I was gonna, just to be a . But, let's face it, you can't ignore good writing. Cool story you have here, sir. Brodie is Brodie, that's what makes this story good. You wrote dialogue like he would speak it. And the scenario you set up is amazing, and how Brodie and Rene react...gold, pure gold. I would just like to finish by saying I really liked how you handled these characters, which was true to form. Keep writing like this, and your future as a writer looks bright. I hope you write some more. Pleas write some more! I strongly encourage it. Oh yeah, one more thing...'C' is the third letter in the alphabet. Think about it. Keep writin'em and I'll keep readin'em. Till then, I'm ghost like Casper. Ciao. |
 SheldonR311 8/27/01 . chapter 1That was SO KICK ASS! |
IViewYouAskew 8/26/01 . chapter 1 hey great story! I think you should continue, ya know what happens when they go back to Jersey and Brodie opens his comic store.. |
Cathryn 8/23/01 . chapter 1 Brodie the fanatically devoted Buffy fan. I don't know why this didn't occur to me before now. It's so perfect. This is a great story. You've done a good job with Brodie's character; this is totally like him. I can see him getting good and sick of the show after a couple years or so. (Of course, in my version, he breaks up with Rene, loudly, during a live feed, but whatever. *g*) This is a good transitional fic. Nicely done! (See what b*tching gets you? I was complaning just a couple of months ago about the total lack of Brodiefic, and here we are, with the second of two lovely ones appearing after my grumble session.) |
Nate Kappesser 8/23/01 . chapter 1 Pretty good, assuming that Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back doesn't explain how he got off the Tonight Show. Maybe he wasn't supposed to take over duties right afterwards, because if you remember, Willam was said to soon see the Sailboat... but he ends up in the nut house without seeing it. |
