Great story with the hallucinogen, although I know what it is like to be doped up with Midazolam, the British version of Versed, you have no memories of what you have said or done yet have been awake- great hypnotic!No wonder John was so scared of Carson.

This was a great story and very well executed, I also really like your characterizations. Sheppard writhing from the maltreatment of people he calls friends and trusts with his life, was purely brutal and cruel. I can totally understand his unease around any of the participants. But poor Carson realizing what he'd done to one of his patients, mistreating and causing pain instead of healing and being compassionate definitely shook him to the core! That was mental whump at its finest! Beckett is such a sweetheart and always wants to save the whole world, but this--without doubt--utterly shattered his belief in doing the right thing. I'm sure the faith in each other suffered immensely from that, even although it hasn't been done on purpose, and will certainly take more time to heal.

Oh Listy, you almost broke my heart with this story!
Poor John getting intubated at ful conciousness and can't help it. And the repercussions for kind-hearted Carson - I believe he'll hardly be able to sleep the next few months. Ronon was ashamed at helping in this but he understands it wasn't his fault.

Great story idea (though very sad from a certain perspecive) and very well told; moved me deeply.
Only I missed Teyla and Rodney's point in this fic a little (loved your comment on John's getting back at McKay later for telling the doc about the incident).
