 Marcus S. Lazarus 4/30/09 . chapter 1Geez...
You just keep on coming up with ever-more interesting ideas, don’t you?
After the large-scale crisis of the previous story, you shift focus here to a more ‘localised’ crisis; the spiritual debate of mortality VS immortality (Along, of course, with exploring the implications of vampires becoming ‘legal’ now).
Angel and Darla’s reflections on the nature of vampirism were VERY interesting reading; the sheer DEPTH of thought you put into Angel’s thoughts on how he feels slightly removed from the world around him alone was an exceptional idea, but as for the part where Darla admitted that Buffy becoming a vampire would be basically a slap in the face to Angel’s main dream of becoming human again...
Pure GOLD, really (Although I was surprised that the idea of using Mohra demon blood never came up; has Angel just never encountered them in this reality?)
And as for Angel’s ‘speech’ to the Church...
Dramatic bit of work, to say the least; in some ways, you almost have to pity Jerome, no matter HOW screwed up he was as a person...
(Plus, of course, original idea with the Vinculum Dies Noctis Cruentos; intriguing concept you’ve got there, if nothing else).
Keep up the EXCEPTIONAL work! |
