Wow, that was so good! I knew I had heard somewhere in the show about the first time John took Dean shooting, but couldn't remember where. This was a wonderful story and I could totally see it happeing this way. Kudos for writting such a wonderful story!

wow, I really do love how you're able to capture Dean's emotions and express them through words. I loved the backstory to Dean's comment about his memory of his Dad. What a messed up family, though, to think that it had to be shooting practice that made John smile like that.

That was an amazing little tale. I could really feel what John and Dean were feeling and the changes they went through in such a short amount of time. It was really well written, I really enjoyed it.
I loved the memories of Dean's birthday and the awareness little Dean had despite his age.
Thanks for sharing that, it made me really feel for the hardship they must've gone through as a young family.

I just re-watched "no exit" last night and this was lovely. Dean did have an odd, sort of wistful, expression on his face when he was telling Jo the story... This was a nice glimpse into the life of the young Winchesters.

nice little back story, very in keeping with the show. good job.
