Snowbird here and upset at Sesshoumaru. He must have been there strictly to save Kagome due to a request from Rin from the grave. At least that's what it seemed like to me. But I have to say it seemed half-hearted to me. Probably the only reason he carried her out of the cave was because he was trapped, too. I thought sure he would be out for blood, for revenge for Rin. He sure isn't acting like it because her murderer is still alive and he's not showing any interest in hunting him down or even helping Kagome hunt him. Come to think of it, when he did show up, with his speed he could have quickly moved Kagome away from Nako and attacked Sukinomaru while telling Renku to help Kagome. That would have been the old Sesshoumaru. Did Rin's death take the fight out of him even to the point he won't even avenge her? He needs to get a reality check. Him trying to stay neutral won't keep the southern lord from attacking his lands plus that lord is in league with Sukinomaru. Normally Sesshoumaru would be down the lord's throat for what he's planning. Nako intrigues me. He's a sneaky and tricky youkai. They left thinking Sesshoumaru's poison would finish him even though Kagome did take pity on him. I think he's kind of fascinated with her now. I'm kind of upset with Sesshoumaru right now so why not have Nako travel with her to add his protection for her with the others. Of course, I don't expect him to be a complete saint because I get the feeling he has his own agenda.

Good for Renku. He got himself a spy. I hope he lets Sesshoumaru know so Sess can be aware and suspicious of any in his home that he's not sure of. It was so very touching the scene with him and Rin. I have to admit, I got a little emotional. Kagome's words about Rin were very heartwrenching. You did a good job on this chapter. I can hardly wait for romantic scenes between Renku and Yuka. You've got me hooked on him.
