Agent Striker 7/30/11 . chapter 1
thumbs up :)
Denouement Intrusion 8/12/09 . chapter 1
Was trolling through the back catalog of NCIS stories and found this one. All I can say is YEAH! EXACTLY! I have always seen Tony & Ziva this way - they care about each other deeply but they are NOT "in love with" each other. This captures so perfectly the way I saw Tony/Ziva from the beginning AND also captures the way I have always thought Tony looks at love. The line about Tony needing to see that he doesn't need to deny himself happiness to make or let others be happy just sums up what I have always thought about Tony PERFECTLY. I've thought from the beginning that Ziva 'gets' Tony far better than Kate ever did. There was so much downright cruelty in the way Kate would tease and pick at Tony. I just LOVED this piece! Thanks for putting it out there; I'm so glad I found it!

Thank god! Someone who agrees with me about Tony and Ziva's relationship. :D

I'm glad you can distinguish between caring about someone and being madly in love with them. Hopefully the writers on the show don't mess with that dynamic.

That was really well done. You had Ziva's feelings down to a tee. I was so sad when we heard that Roy died, I felt so sorry for Ziva. And I used to be completely against Tiva and I only supported Tate, but after watching season 4, I think I'd have to reconsider my thoughts. I agree with your statement in your A/N too. Nice piece of work.

I like this very much. I'm not quite sure what to think about the relationship between Tony and Ziva, but I definitely like to see them as friends (who knows what will become of that?), not just co-workers. Your view of their relationship rings very true to me. You can read love into Ziva's recent behaviour if you want to, I think, but it can totally be read as concern on Ziva's side, too. I'd love Tony to open up to at least someone (since he doesn't seem to do that to Jeanne).

Well written and in character. Thank you.
