It was a good ending, although it does leave us wanting more. The selection of the pilots seemed a bit rushed to me, though. This fic dealt with the possibility of other people piloting, and in the end the same three kids were chosen. I don't think that was Yui or Misato's choice to make, but the children's. They're the ones that should have elected or refused to do it, and that wasn't shown here, which is kind of disappointing after seeing how the fic showed Ritsuko having the choice. I guess I'm whining because I'd kick my mother's ass if she tried to force to go to war, but I felt this was a tad rushed regarding that issue. Still, I loved this fic. It was a very interesting AU, and I don't feel it would be so much like Nobody Dies if you continued it. It's your choice to make anyway, but even if you don't continue this I still liked it very much. I'm looking forward to see more of your writing. Congratulations on a finished fic!

I love this story but am confused by the pairings. Is Misato and Ritsuko together or are they just friends? Maya always seems to be a threat to a Rits/Miso pairing.

Yui is so cool, I'd like to see her pair up with someone.

You have some interesting ideas for AU. This almost seems like a prequel for your other EVA fic, unless of course, the angels DO arrive early. The one jarring thing is that Ritsuko goes from black haired last chapter (her natural shade) to blonde (the shade she dies it) in this chapter during the middle of running away from her mother crying.

Otherwise it was fairly enjoyable.

Ha ha...yeah, she DID say "wife". Guess if she seemed surprised, she must've just meant that she saw herself as more of the stereotypical "male" role...and I can sort of see that. Beer-guzzling, slovenly, lazy...yeah, very stereotypically male. No wonder I immediately thought that she'd go both ways!

this story is pretty good though their is one error chronologically speaking, gendo started his affair with naoko after yui disappear but only to build her emotion up enough so he could send rei 1, knowing what would happened, and he actually tried to stop seele version of third impact which would have seele rule the world as gods.

Now I have to say that this story is going to be something else, even with your AU Eva stories. It's good to see that you've got plenty of conflict here as well as romantic potential. Obviously there's Misato/Ritsuko, but there's a slight chance of Yui/Naoko (just to be crazy - mostly because Naoko acts so much like Gendo here).

Lots of interesting happenings, and the drama is good when it comes to Misato and Ritsuko (I'm just glad not to have her all over Gendo!).
