I still can't get over how much I love this story. You portray Beckett and Mercer so well.

I was especially intrigued with the side of Beckett that most people don't explore...a more passionate side.

Aww man that was so good. Loved the last line, "I am the Devil.." Promise me your making a sequel?? I love the characters, though it is unfortunate that Mercer had to leave.

Wow. Despite the fact that I utterly despise Beckett, after reading the story thus far I find myself intrigued by the way you have written his character. I love the banter between he and Victoria as well as the character development of Mercer. Its late but I shall return tomorrow to read more.

OMG, it's the end to an extremly fabulous story!
I absolutely LOVED it, I can't wait for the sequel - this story is beyond amazing!
All the while I've been reading this, it seems like Ted and Terry are writing it - I can see the movie playing in my head.
Well, this was the PERFECT last chapter and last sentence, and I've no doubt that the sequel will be amazing as well. :D You've got me totally sucked into this story, I'm completly involved in it. I'll be on the phone with a friend, checking my email, when I suddenly burst out: "OMG! Another chapter of Ruthless, I have to go!" and hang up.
Anyway, again, I LOVE it, and am so eagerly awaiting the sequel. :D

Well I really wasn't excpecting that to be the last chapter! Anyway the last line by Beckett was brilliant. I think you ought to know this has been one of my favorite POTC fics ever, really I loved it. It did end a bit more dismal then I would have liked. Beckett's still being an evil ass. As is Mercer. And Tori's become capable of ruthless (ha) murder. The innocent Cat is pregnant and about to marry a rapist. And Rose never really found true love (somethign I was sort of hopeing for). The only bit of hope is that maybe Tori can be rid of the scars, but I saw that coming so it's not all that exciting. And why can't she see Rose? I mean she knows what happened to her, and I'm pretty sure she isn't going to start spreading rumors that her best friend struck a deal with the devil. Sigh, oh well. There is going to be a sequal right? I mean there are so many loose ends, for there not to be.

I've been reading this for two days straight, and I have to say, this story has been more insightful into Beckett's and Mercer's personalities than any other I've read so far. Your characters' behavior and speech mannerisms reflect the time period very well. That was just to make ya feel good in intellectual ways, here's what I'd really say; Hot damn! This is just so fun to read, you are awesome, please keep writing, Tori's cool, Rose is a riot, Beckett's really insecure and childish yet ya can't help but wanna feel sorry for the little guy (aw) Cat's adorable and just a big bucket of sunshine..heh Beckett, Bucket, hee..and Mercer's an (yes I said it!) adorable softie underneath the ruthless killing machine who really loves Cat. Really, to be perfectly honest, this could be its own movie! Hello Hollywood! Please, for the love of Viggo Mortensen, keep writing this! This is Hopelessly Random signing off.

Wow this was SUCH a great chapter! I'm so glad that Tori and Beckett are together again, though, I must say, my deepest sympathy goes out to Cat. I hope Mercer does something, and I hope nothing bad happens to my dear pirate Captain. ;)
Anyway, GREAT chapter, can't wait for the next one (thoguh it will be in two weeks. ;))!

Whoa! Dark twist of awesome! I love how Victoria's become all cold and merciless now; it makes her even cooler. You did a really good job making the transition between naive little girl to cold-blooded murderess natural and believable. SO COOL.
