Aww, I love this chapter!

I'm not usually a Fran/Balthier shipper but this chapter really made it work. I love how Balthier and Fran understands each other. Balthier is always on Fran's back whenever she needs him and vice versa. I also like how Ashe is envious about it (hAHA).

meeh. Too bad I only read this now. It was really very nice. I like the dynamic that went on with, initially, just the central chracters (Balthier-Ashe-Basch) then when you threw in Penelo and Fran it became even more interesting. I like the whole shift with Ashe/Balthier/Basch when they were vulnerable-strong-cold-weak-strong-feisty... etc. It was like listening to Tchaikovsky or something, and I mean that in a very good way (Tchaikovsky is one of my favorites!)

This was really great.

Perfectly IC for Ashe I think. Many times while playing the game did I see her gaze toward Basch with a look on her face that seemed to be saying exactly that. (like when he is chatting with Vaan and Penelo just as they enter Archades)

Beautifully written and descriptive. I really enjoyed this.

Hey, its been a while for this fic! Good to see you back! Hehe, I liked this and the fact that you made Ashe a bit jealous of Penelo... I would be too if I couldn't get such reactions out of him. -sigh- Oh well. lol :)

I loved this one... it shows a lot of Ashe's character and behaviour towards her guardian. And it's wonderful to see Basch acting like some sort of older brother to Penelo and Vaan. Is this sort of attention Ashe also desires... or something more? :)
