The only time in the game I ever remember honestly disliking Balthier in any way was when Ashe gave him her wedding ring and he didn't turn it down, he took it and refused to give it back until way later. This sort of breakdown in the rain is just what I can see happening 'Oh noes, where's my ring?' and then Balthier has it and she just forgot. This isn't really a BalAshe drabble in the sense that some of your BaschAshe ones have been, it more centers around just the interaction instead of any romantic interest in each other. This is the sort of thing I really adore, but it's just personal preference, nothing special. |

But, reading your new chapter was truely a refresher! I enjoyed it alot and I got a good laugh at how you have Balthier toying with Ashe. I always would snicker at the parts in the game videos when he would pester her and get her all worked up over nothing really. Good job! Balthier and Ashe are perfect, but I think Basch is still a little flat as a character. Granted, he's kind of cold, but I still think it would be really fun to see him finally snap and tell someone off, though I can't imagine what it would take to anger him that much. Just a thought. Drabbles ftw. You've gained another regular reader. |
