ch 1, anon.
abuseInteresting. Well done. It's the truth... no matter what... the One Who is Love is there for us... we only have to make the choice to seek Him in good will...

Previous reviewer... there is only one God... and that is the God Who has revealed Himself to humanity... the God of the Old Covenant of the Jewish people and of the New Covenant of Christianity.

God does not spawn hatred. That is the work of man... man who has free will... and all too often uses it to work evil.
It is quite interesting how people of ill will generally refuse to give God His due for life and love and the universe and all the blessings and wonders of existence... but readily try to blame God for any and all problems in the world... which are, in fact, the work of man and not of God.

God is the fullness of actuality... perfection of existence... infinite and eternally the Source and the Purpose of all things... so of course all problems can be solved by God. No exceptions.
It is only the will of man that gets in the way...
Good will seeks out God and His divine wisdom...
...but ill will ignores or dismisses the wisdom of the infinite mind of God... and seeks only the objects and accolades of material world, the temporary pleasures, the self, etc... according to the feeble and flawed and finite mind of man.

Seek out the infinite... the eternal... the perfect... the One who is Pure Actuality... the "I Am".

One should try to actually understand a religion (or anything) before one makes claims against it.
Christianity does indeed preach Love... it is the highest Law... but Christianity does not preach "acceptance" of all things at all cost. It never has... and it never will... because that is not Love.
If you love someone... you will want them to know truth and be as good a person as possible and live according to truth... because that is the way - the only way - to lasting happiness. It is not love to "accept" someone's actions even if those actions are in error... and will ultimately lead that poor person into unhappiness and suffering and despair. That is not love at all.

Christianity is about Love... genuine Love... and all that this means... including absolutely refusing to "accept" actions that oppose goodness and support evil... as is given us to know by the infinite mind of the Lord God... Who knows all things of all persons of all times of all places of all manners of all purposes... Who indeed cannot err...
... even if this means suffering scorn from others for trying to present them with truth in order to try to help them and offer them the way of divine virtue and all the blessings it brings (always in as charitable a manner as possible of course).

Christianity is about Love... genuine Love... it is not about blind "acceptance".
We do not "tolerate" people. We love them.

God - the one true God of all - can be known. Indeed. The truth is very much knowable.
God has given us a divine revelation of His existence, His identity, His nature, His divine plan of salvation, and so on... and He has given us the gift of reason and the gift of will... to be able to seek out the truth and abide by it.

In magnificent love He proves Himself with profound miracles all throughout history... including the wondrous fulfillment of prophesy to every perfection... all for our sake. It is only for us to seek it out... as is, of course, our obligation as beings of reason and will...
We need only to make the effort to seek out truth, and - this is vital - be of sincere good will in doing so... and it will be available for us to discover...

Study the history of humanity. Study philosophy. Study the writings of those who present the reality of God to us...
Seek... study... learn...

We have no right to try to blame God for our own failings. We have all that we need to know and love Him and ultimately achieve eternal happiness for ourselves.
It is up to each one of us - beings of free will - to make the choice to be of sincere good will... rather than wallow in apathy or deprave ourselves with ill will and all it brings.

God owes us nothing. We owe God.
God owes us nothing... yet He provides us with blessings in profound abundance beyond what we could ever earn or deserve. It is only left for us to be honorable in our our free will... and thus to always be of sincere good will in all things...
That is the answer. God does not interfere with free will. So... if we are of ill will... then we make the choice to cut ourselves off from the many graces of God... and of course suffer the natural consequences of this. We do indeed see the results of such choices all around the world today.
When one does not aspire to goodness... one falls into evil. That is the natural result... and the consequences of bringing evil into the world affect all of humanity since all of humanity shares this world.
But... if we are of sincere good will... we remain open to the many graces of God... and of course receive the profound benefits of this. If we do strive to aspire to goodness... to the best of our human ability (God does not demand more than our best effort)... God will provide all things.

Thanks for the poem. Well done.

ch 1,
abuseOkay, now I'm confused. Are you cold? Who is cold? First person poem, but totally bemusing AN at the end.. 'Cause THAT makes sense.

And yeah. Kinda find this offensive. Very offensive. I know, I know, funny stance to take.. But here's why.

You're saying that everyone who feels cold or lonely or miserable should turn to God.. Is this the Christian God? The same God who has spawned so much hate and fear in this world? There are people out there who are not Christian, and who never be Christian. And those same people will not like being told that all their problems can be solved by "God".

Christianity is the most hypocritical religion that I have ever come across. It claims to preach acceptance and love, but then damns those who are different. Do I sound bitter? Good. I am. Christianity wrecked my life and has given two of my dearest friends nothing but unhappiness and regret. Homosexuals? Transsexuals? Muslims? All those people who, just because they aren't Christian, are going to burn in hell?

Well /that's/ nice to know.

Thanks for the poem. Real.. interesting.
