The tantalizing hints at Isaak's mysterious past were fascinating yet still convincing. It's a shame that his character was not explored further in the anime, but your story raised some intriguing possibilities about his lack of visible fangs and such. The way you described Isaak's emotional state through William's thoughts was brilliant. Even though this fic makes WxI seem more plausible, I still prefer IxD! However, I've often wondered about Isaak's actual ethnicity. Even though anime character designs usually don't look ethnic-specific, Isaak's physical features appear distinctively east Asian to me.
Falcon-Jade-Darkness 2007-09-29 ch 1,	abuseThis is something new, never really thought of this pairing before (I keep thinking Dietrich with Isaak). I like the idea of Isaak pretending to be drunk so that William would help him. Isaak's background was very well done, I've always wondered what he could be because Dietrich is supposed to be the only human in the Order, yet Isaak doesn't seem to have fangs. Very well written!

Werewolf of Fire 2007-09-20 ch 1,	abuseVery nice! I'm loving your William voice. And your 'drunk' Isaak too. I don't know a lot about their backgrounds (alas, what I've seen of the anime hasn't really delved into them much), but I love their rituals. William's cradling of actor!Isaak was extremely cute (it made me squee, it did!) and I loved the idea that Isaak may have been blushing. It's a lovely image, should I end up drawing it (you've sparked my imagination) I'll send you a link. The entire Isaak being a Methuselah, but not being one at the same time, it was very interesting. I love that he has fangs that are pretty much just for show and super strength and speed though William can't for the life of him understand (for any reason that seemed possible) why that could be. But the thing that I love most was the emotion this story holds. There's helplessness, annoyance, understanding, humour and anger, and it's all potent at sometime during the story. "At least his family can afford food." is an example. It's almost spiteful, but it's honest, though William doesn't say this out loud. The only thing that annoys me, is how quickly they went from cuddling (cradling) to kissing and then onto more devious activities. Perhaps the amount of time that this has taken to occur hasn't come across well for me, but there is something off about it. That it happened too soon almost. I know, I'm most likely not being helpful, but the kiss feels off. I think there should be a why. Why did they kiss after the neck comment? Why are they completely fine with what has developed between them? By no means make poor William be gushy about it, but I need it explained. You've done so for the rest of the fic (Isaak's need for blood in particular), but that seemed empty. Anyway, overall, I love this fic. You've officially made WilliamIsaak my third favourite Trinity Blood pairing. You're writing it lovely, easy to read and understand, your spelling and grammar are fantastic and your plot is nice, slow, until the kiss anyway. It seemed rushed then. But that could just be me and my romantic, slow ass likes. Awesome work. I enjoyed this thoroughly. ^_^ - Woffy
